Congratulations to our New Professors!

Congratulations Dr. Alexis N. Smith!
Please join me in congratulating Alexis Smith who successfully defended her dissertation entitled, "Status in Mentorship: Ascribed and Position Status Effects in Diversified Mentoring Dyads," on January 5, 2010. Dr. Smith receives her Ph.D. in management from Tulane University. She has not accepted a faculty position yet.

Dr. Smith is a member of The PhD Project Management Doctoral Students Association.


Congratulations Dr. Jason Brown!
Please join me in congratulating Jason Brown who successfully defended his dissertation entitled, "The Effect of Retribution on Shareholder Litigation and Managers' Reports," on November 13, 2009. Dr. Brown receives his Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh. He is on faculty at Indiana University.

Dr. Brown attended the 2001 November PhD Project Conference and is a member of The PhD Project Accounting Doctoral Students Association.

Please join me in congratulating Barbara Usher who successfully defended her dissertation entitled, "An Examination of the Role of IT Governance, Interorganizational Collaborations, and Interorganizational Learning in ERP Post-implementations," on March 13, 2009. Dr. Usher received her Ph.D. in Information Systems from Claremont Graduate University. She has not yet accepted a faculty position.

Please join me in congratulating Joycelyn Streator who successfully defended her dissertation entitled, "Communicator Style and Technology Preferences: A New Examination of Fit, Adoption, Social Diffusion and Dimensionality," December 14, 2009. Dr. Streator receives her Ph.D. in Information Systems from Emory University. She has accepted a post doc position at Georgia Institute of Technology.

Please join me in congratulating Kelly Gamble who successfully defended her dissertation entitled, "The Effect of Presentation Modality on Source Monitoring Accuracy: Implications for Auditors' Reliability Judgments and the Planned Extent of Audit Procedures," on January 20, 2010. Dr. Gamble receives her Ph.D. in Accounting from Florida State University. She is currently on faculty at the University of Alabama Huntsville.

Dr. Felton receives her Ph.D. in Management from Jackson State University. She is an Assistant Professor at Grambling State University

Please join me in congratulating Dewaynna Cates who successfully defended her dissertation entitled, "Organizational Citizenship Pressure among Business School Faculty: The Mediating Effects of Job Burnout and Job Engagement", on October 19, 2009. Dr. Cates receives her Ph.D. in Management from Jackson State University. She joins the faculty of Prairie View A&M University.
